Overflowing Water of Ciliwung Inundates 41 RWs

The overflowing water of Ciliwung River has submerged citizen residential in 41 RWs that spread in East and South Jakarta, Saturday (4/2) dawn.

We also recorded that 250 people had to take refuge in five locations

Bambang Suryaputra, Head of Informatic and Handling Section, Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Bambang Suryaputra said, due to overflowing water, there have been 250 people evacuated.

"Until at 6 AM, there are totally six sub-districts flooded, consisting of 12 urban villages and 41 RWs. We also recorded that 250 people had to take refuge in five locations," he stated.

Based on BPBD data, in South Jakarta, there are some urban villages flooded. They are Kebon Baru at RW 10 (30-60 cm), Bukit Duri at RW 10, 11, and 12 (20-80 cm), Pejaten Timur at RW 03, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, and 10 (100-250 cm).

There are also Rawajati at RW 01, 03, and 07 (30-100 cm), Rawajati at RW 01 and 02 (20-70 cm), Lenteng Agung at RW 03 (20-70 cm), Srengseng Sawah at RW 01 and 02 (30-100 cm).

Flood also happens in East Jakarta that hit some urban villages. They are Kampung Melayu at RW 04, 05, 06, 07, and 08 (10-125 cm), Bidara Cina at RW 05, 06, 07, 11, and 14 (20-100 cm). 

There are also Cawang at RW 01, 02, 03, 05, and 08 (80-360 cm), Balekambang at RW 01, 04, and RW 04 (20-100 cm), Cililitan at RW 05, 06, 07 and RW 16 (200 cm).

"The highest flood is spotted at Bidara Cina Urban Village as high as 360 cm," he closed.
